The extent of the wound has not been revealed
70 years of progress, absorbed by the unknown
Below the surface deep down below
The damage sinks down to the unknown
It's in the air, it's in our sleep
We can't escape these grave mistakes
It's in our breath, it's underneath
We can't escape these grave mistakes
In the age of progress they failed to foresee
The victims of convenience that have slowly ceased to be
The greatest generation a culture at its peak
Numbers without meaning, they bend the message to be
They ignored a chance to change and chose a different way
Distracted by greed, do they carry the most blame
Because we've all grown numb to the growing catastrophe
Ignoring the victims of convenience that will cease to be

I know it's an obscure reference, but the singer reminds me of Anneke van Giersbergen from the Gathering. The singer of Romero is a highlight of the band's sound, and the power-pop tunes are driven by her. Looking forward to future releases of this band. Bart
